Next we moved onto making a movement piece with a partner that used these lifts but the idea of frantic is to start simple and then build it up. We started with a simple leaning exercise so that we would trust them and get into the idea of not holding your weight back, Then we started working on the partnered lifts, they were quite simple to do once you fully trusted your partner and put al your weight into it. At first we did the exercise with our eyes open, this worked well however becuase we could see our partner we ended up anticipating their moves and not fully committing to what we were doing. Quad could be used in a public performance if the configuration of the cast was different than how we did it, instead of the movements the counts could be used to speak in so that for each count a conversation takes part on a different part of the stage keeping the audience hooked on what’s happening and then as the counts start getting smaller the conversations become shorter and more confusing and would be very interesting to watch.
