(Of course, Cleveland is behind the eight ball in terms of its uniform design with brown being a primary color.). The good: You think I'd be tired of those all-navy with the green trims by this point, right? The NFL will have some new team uniforms making their debuts this season. Those are the type of jerseys I want to see in big-time, primetime games. The home and road uniforms are both great, though an all-purple one needs to come back in non-Color Rush form sooner rather than later. With that said, they're better than all-purple. I don't mind the current road uniforms -and I certainly like them more than the road ones they wore from 2006-11 - but those Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss-era jerseys are too perfect. Switching the primary home uniforms to the orange ones and moving the blue jerseys to alternates back in 2012 was brilliant, enough to push them over the Chargers for first place on this list.

Of course, that leads me to... Bring it back! Two things before we get into those, though: The Giants’ Color Rush uniforms are great, and their away sets aren’t bad. They’re so ugly that we didn’t include them in the photo above; we can’t have that hideousness staining our top five. So let's rank all 32 NFL uniforms heading into the 2018 season. With the Chiefs’ red helmets and white facemasks, all of their jersey-pants combinations — all red, red on white, all white, white on red — look great. If Andrew Luck doesn't come back and play like his old self, then my feelings on these jerseys will continue to be pure indifference. Bring it back! (Knock on wood.). The Jaguars’ current uniform design appears to have taken a grand total of zero creativity to fashion. What we can know is which are the coolest NFL jerseys. All of these tweaks were factored into our NFL uniform rankings for 2019. I also like how we don't see these uniforms until later in the season, which gives it a special flare when the team is actually winning. Offensive logo aside, those traditional burgundy helmets with gold facemasks and gold-and-white striping still look great. The bad: Arizona's other uniforms are all mediocre at best, especially their all-white road jerseys. The all-black Color Rush uniforms are pretty cool, but they look awkward against the 49ers’ traditional gold helmet. Nice work. There's not much the Colts can do about the helmet because of the NFL's revamped protocol to help brain safety (here's an idea: make all helmets safer regardless of the color or which uniform they go with), yet the old-timey charm is enough here. Every look the Cowboys sport— the aforementioned home set; the away set with the silver pants; the navy blue-on-white (or silver) home alternate set; the all-white Color Rush set — is perfection. A few teams have updated their uniforms since then. Maybe taking the black uniforms from a couple years ago and testing them in the offseason with other combos - or even red or gold pants - could work. Bring it back! That leads me to... Bring it back! Speaking of teams that need to permanently ditch their throwback uniforms, the Steelers can toss their bumblebees right on top of the Packers'throwbacks in the same garbage bin. All home and away sets are great. Problem solved. The Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins changed their uniforms, hoping that a snazzy new look will help them vault into the upper echelon of the best uniforms in the NFL. They could be better, but they could be so much worse. Bring it back! This is another team that gets major points for its willingness to mix and match jersey and pants combinations for multiple looks, all of which look amazing paired with the Ravens’ all-black helmet. The Giants are still the Giants, wearing the same blue-on-white and white-on-greys. I'd ask how things can go so wrong, but this same team also had an MRSA crisis a few years back. But their current look is sharp and not in need of tweaking. All classic. But more and more teams are using those uniforms on non-Thursday night games and without the opposing team in their Color Rush jerseys, so maybe there's hope. The bad: I might be in the minority for thinking the purple-on-black jerseys aren't that good, so throw your responses to my hot take at me. To add, the Patriots’ all-navy Color Rush uniforms are dull, earning them no extra points on that front. I know, that sounds crazy coming from me. We're not touching the Redskins' name debate, but we will talk about why the jerseys are at the midway point of this list. Save your best alternates for when they really matter, not for six or seven games a year. I'm fine with the Lions only wearing their throwbacks on Thanksgiving, although I do also think they'd make a great primetime uniform to really set the stage that teams are playing in Detroit on Sunday/Monday night. But can’t we all agree some traditions are boring? NFL fans love to argue over what team has the best uniform in the league. His next step should be ditching the silver helmet and pants, if not silver altogether as part of Carolina’s color scheme. And sorry, San Diego. The good: It's hard to go wrong with those blue jerseys even all of these years later. Why did we go with Denver, you ask? That the Jets haven't worn the New York Titans uniforms since 2011 is a travesty. These uniforms are almost perfect, with the number font being the only knock against them. The Chargers, though, rank this high for one reason only: They recently announced their powder-blue jerseys will be featured in their primary uniform set for 2019. Two factors work in the Bengals’ favor with this ranking: Their helmets remain awesome, arguably the most unique in football. But the orange jerseys are nothing like that. Minnesota should add some outline to the numbers on its jerseys and perhaps even upgrade the font. There has to be some sort of irony in the worst team in the league having the best, most common uniform. Ew, just ew. But if you are surprised, we're surprised too. Dallas has two non-Color Rush jerseys and both are great. Color Rush really ruined some great jersey ideas, unfortunately. Unpopular option: The Seahawks’ all-neon Color Rush uniforms are pretty cool. Bring it back!

The good: All-black uniforms with gold where they should be, including at the collar. The blue jerseys should never be changed and I'm alright with the road ones, though I do wonder if the time is coming soon for a rebranding - or, at least, the return of the red jerseys. Lists to get you through all the long, boring, miserable, non-football hours until kickoff. They also have the perfect blend of coloring, with the gold complimenting the red in the number trim and sleeve/pants striping. The standard home and road jerseys are crisp and clean, while the all-gray Color Rush came out great too.

With three jersey color options and three pants color options, the Eagles are able (and willing) to change up their look each week. Including those neon-green jerseys and pants, the Seahawks have four jersey color options and four pants color options to pair with their sharp-looking navy blue helmets. It's just hard to beat those old-school Oilers uniforms. Dallas’ look is equally iconic and unique. As for Green Bay’s home uniforms, there is no reason for the Packers to ever deviate from their always-awesome green-on-yellow look. They resemble a turd from a dog that has recently consumed an orange crayon.

Sarcasm aside, the designs of NFL uniforms in this Nike era, which began in 2012, are increasingly artistic and bold. This is the definitive ranking of NFL uniforms, one on which everyone will absolutely, positively agree. For the Falcons, from 1978-2002, it was glorious. After that, pretty much any design will be an upgrade. As a Jets fan, I don't know what to say about these uniforms other than I agree with linebacker Darron Lee about the team needing a new look this coming season. If your favorite team hasn't been used already, they're probably joining the Falcons in the next few entries. Houston is yet another team with limited jerseys, but none of them are anything close to bad. The good: I won't be in favor of many entirely white ones on this list, but Cleveland's look crisp and slick. (And potentially finish at No. Now, all the Bears need to do is make sure they don't bring those late 2000s white-on-white jerseys back. - Had the Titans not rebranded, they would have been closer to the bottom of this list, likely around No. Bring it back! The throwbacks are great. The all-whites aren’t terrible thanks to the mainstay that is the franchise’s classic white helmet. It's not that the Bengals have bad uniforms, but they're still sticking with the same jerseys and sets after so many years - and while that works for some teams, the Bengals aren't one of them. Cincinnati is the first team on this list with a limited jersey supply, which partially contributes to how low they rank. The good: Those regular black and orange jerseys still look pretty clean all these years later. But for now, why do the Packers jerseys still work so well? Like with the Cowboys, it's the simplicity and tradition of these uniforms that puts them so high. Hopefully the Chargers avoid their Color Rush uniforms as much as they can moving forward. The best uniforms can also be some of the league's most basic and simple. Very cool.
